Remember Essay Hell? Turns out that Exam Hell isn’t exactly a walk in the park either. Fancy that. Real life will resume on Friday evening!
In the meantime, here’s a little something I whipped up while I was working on my study notes:

Want one of your own? Download IOGraph here — it tracks your mouse’s movement around the screen and leaves you with a pretty picture. So neat! I coloured mine in with Photoshop!

Some days my life feels like an endless cycle of coursework, laundry, and washing infinite stacks of dishes. To break out of the rut I’ve stopped cooking entirely — it’s amazing how few dirty dishes I’ve generated in the last three weeks! And how sub-par my diet has been! Not a strategy I’d recommend, actually. My best friend had a better idea on the weekend… we headed to Scarborough Bluffs for a nice afternoon, which we followed up with a small vat (that somebody else had to wash!) of delicious pho.

I’ve had this flexible, waterproof keyboard for ages, but it finally bit the dust. How provoking! It looked good while it lasted, but it was a bit hard to type on. Its replacement is more functional without sacrificing any of the cute:

In the fall I’m buying a puppy! Last summer I went to a dog show in Welland to meet the breeder and her (beautiful) dogs. My application to purchase was approved a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more excited. Or more impatient! The end of the wait is hoving into view at long last though. Hallelujah, y’all!
The breeder can’t guarantee the gender for obvious reasons, but I’m hoping for a boy. Got any great ideas for names? Here are some I’ve been thinking of:
- Llewellyn: From one of my favourite novels, No Country for Old Men (by Cormac McCarthy).
- Come to think of it, Cormac would be a pretty good name too.
- Luke: The patron saint of artists.
- Wickham: The patron saint of womanizing cads. I think my boy will be popular with the bitches!
- Viscount: Too bad there’s a cigarette company by the same name. Lil’ V would be such a cute nickname!
- Emory: Means brave. This is an important quality!
- Princey: Would it be weird to name my dog after myself?
- Guildenstern: This is my parents’ dog’s name. I named him, and now I wish I’d kept the name for myself! Rosencrantz doesn’t abbreviate so nicely.
Speaking of Guildenstern, here’s a diptych from a few weeks back. I babysat him while my parents were on vacation. He moped something awful, and my parents missed him too — they e-mailed every night to ask after him. They’re crazy about him, and he’s got them wrapped around his little dew claw!

I can’t believe I survived the last few weeks of classes! Hallelujah, y’all!

I had a good workout in an eerily quiet gym this afternoon. I liked having all the equipment to myself because I’m greedy! But I missed the hustle and bustle and the noise and the energy and the eye candy.

My best friend took these pictures for me this afternoon (thank you again Charlie!). Please humour me by telling me that you can see some pec separation in the last one! I swear it’s right there in the middle! Now if only I had the matching shoulders, arms, back, legs… I really want to get bigger! And stronger! I want it all! I mentioned that I’m greedy, right?
