Do you like my new cow skull? It’s hung in the living room over the couch. I painted it so it would look less like it belongs on a ranch, but I’m not sure my Harlequin-inspired makeover was actually much of an improvement. Could I have picked a worse colour scheme? It looks as though Easter threw up on it. It would look fantastic in a nursery though. Maybe I’ll hang it over the puppy’s bed when I get him in the fall. Of course it might give him little puppy-sized nightmares…

A hot babe in a state of partial undress has the favorable effect of distracting the eye from my latest failure in interior decoration though, non?

Gaspari Nutrition has posted the first two episodes of The Sport of Figure with Ava Cowan. I’ll never be convinced that any type of physique competition — be it bodybuilding, fitness, figure, or bikini — is a sport, but the documentary is certainly worth watching. What a physique! Her work ethic is amazing! And thumbs up to Gaspari Nutrition for sponsoring a female athlete! I was inspired to start weight training after watching a television show about female bodybuilders so I love to see new documentaries which might encourage other women to try it.

Since I got serious about fitness friends have asked me how to get in shape, and my advice is always the same: find an activity you enjoy, start doing it, and then keep doing it. Forever!

In mid-December, amidst the hustle and bustle of the end of the term and the holiday season, I wedged in a photoshoot for Jae Jae La Designs. Such beautiful jewelry! My Christmas wish list got a whole lot longer. Amalie Russell did the hair and makeup — all the girls looked flawless! The beautiful vintage bridal gowns were lent to us courtesy of Vintage Bride in Toronto. It was a long day, but everyone had a blast! Here are some of my favourites.
